The Buckhead Coalition hosted a first-ever Downtown/Midtown/Buckhead Roundtable Conversation between its leaders on mutual governmental issues at its regular monthly meeting April 24. Program participants were Central Atlanta Progress President A.J. Robinson, Midtown Alliance President Kevin Green, and Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell (with its Community Improvement District Executive Director Jim Durrett).

Input from coalition members included a general discussion on the new Sandy Springs burglar alarm activation fee in absence of visual verification; the Atlanta City Council consideration of a traffic curtailment fee charged travelers from outside the city; increased chronic homelessness; criminal justice reform, and cultivating more favorable city/state relations.

More specifically considered and addressed as proposed current projects:

· Maintaining existing early nightlife closing times;

· Systematically mapping mass pothole repairs, and

· Regulating and enforcing safety measures for electric scooters, bicycles, and mopeds (including reduced speeds to those of sidewalk-approved wheelchair safety rates).

At the conclusion of the Summit, the heads of the three nonprofit commercial centers (Robinson for Downtown, Green for Midtown, and Massell for Buckhead) executed a “One Atlanta Resolution” lauding the benefits of this theme and “saluting” Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms for her One City focus of commitment.
