When a Brookhaven police officer responded to a call about a homeless woman on a cold night, he went above and beyond to make sure she had a warm place to stay.

According to a post by the Brookhaven Police Department, an officer responded to a 911 call about an elderly homeless woman.

When Officer B. Fleming arrived, he found the woman wearing short sleeves and no jacket on a cold night.

So the officer got the woman a hotel room, so she could have a warm place to sleep.

“These are the types of gestures that make Officer Fleming an exceptional officer but most importantly, a human being,” the department wrote.
