Brenau Academy, the state's oldest girl’s preparatory school, is switching to an "early college" so students can earn up to two year's of college credits by the time they receive a high school diploma.

The change, which starts in August, means students will have access to courses offered at Brenau Women’s College, the undergraduate division of Brenau University.

Students in the academy will no longer be able to take traditional high school courses on the Brenau campus, officials said.
