A DeKalb County man accused of killing his girlfriend, a mother of five, arrived this week in the local jail to face a murder charge.

Keitran Foots, 30, who was extradited from North Carolina, is accused of firing at least five shots at 35-year-old Sharika Bowman, according to police. She was outside her Stone Mountain-area home sitting in her car on March 30, preparing to take her 16-year-old son to school.

A warrant released this week alleges Foots walked out of the home at about 10 a.m. and began shooting through the car window. According to police, Foots lived at the home in the 4700 block of Wyndam Drive with Bowman and her five children, including one who is a month and a half old.

No motive has been released.

The warrant says witnesses saw Foots get in a car and speed away from the scene. He ended up in Granville County, North Carolina, where he was found a few days later.
