DeKalb cops: Man who raped 13-year-old near park is still on the loose

Authorities say the man grabbed the girl from behind and assaulted the girl on the railroad tracks.

DeKalb County police were still searching this week for a man believed to have raped a 13-year-old girl.

The attack happened Feb. 23 on South Stone Mountain-Lithonia Road at Walker Road along the railroad tracks, police have said. The man had grabbed her from behind, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The area is across the street from Wade-Walker Park.

Few details have so far been released, but the department did put out a sketch of the suspect.

As of Thursday, police said they were working leads.
