A body was found Saturday morning in a creek behind a townhome development in unincorporated Austell, authorities said.
The body was found in the 1900 block of Padgett Drive, said Cobb County police spokeswoman Alicia Chilton. Due to decomposition, officers could not tell if it was male or female, Chilton said.
Personnel from the Crimes Against Persons unit and the medical examiner’s office responded to investigate and take custody of the body.
