Body found in back of burned pick-up truck

A body was found in the back of a pickup truck that had been burned, a spokeswoman with the Rockdale County Sheriff’s office said Saturday.

Rockdale fire crews noticed the burned truck as they were heading back to the fire station after working an automobile accident, Sgt. Jodi Shupe said. Authorities found a body in the bed of the truck, Shupe said.

The truck was parked off of Turner Road, near Abbott Road, Shupe said.
