The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 6 on a resolution to purchase furniture for the newly built Hampton Senior/Recreation Center. With an approaching March 2017 open date, SPLOST Capital Projects staff recommended to purchase furniture for the center from Impact Office Interiors, based on their bid to furnish and install furniture for an amount not to exceed $119,362.20. Ground was broken for the center in February this year and 75 percent of the construction has been completed. The 20,800-square-foot facility sits on 5 acres.
