Bicyclist dies after multiple-car accident
Gwinnett police say they are investigating last Thursday's multiple-car accident that killed a Dacula bicyclist.
Brian Leech was traveling west on Old Fountain Road near Old Peachtree Road around 5 p.m. when he was hit from behind by a car driven by Ellen Martin, also of Dacula. Leech was knocked off his bike and landed in the roadway, where he was struck by another motorist, Rhonda Braz Da Silva, Gwinnett police said Monday. Leech died at the scene from his injuries.
Police say neither alcohol nor speed contributed to the fatal accident, though other charges are possible.
