Austell plans to renovate, rent 3 buildings

The Austell City Council decided Monday, Aug. 3, to buy two buildings and accept the donation of another building with plans to renovate and rent them.

City officials will spend $105,000 to buy two buildings at 5846 Love St. and 2787 Veterans Memorial Highway and accepted the donation of a building at 5850 Love St.

The city also will pay $130,000 to remodel the three buildings, including a hip roof for the two buildings on Love Street.

The $235,000 total will come from the city’s contingency fund.
