Austell to double disc golf course

Instead of 18 holes, soon Austell’s Frog Rock Disc Golf course will have 36 holes.
The Austell City Council decided 5-0 on March 4 to buy more disc golf baskets from Prodigy Discs for $4,050.
Funding will come from the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.
Established in 2013, the course is a part of Louise Suggs Memorial Park, 6040 Spring St., Austell.
The city’s Parks and Community Affairs Director Jim Graham said the layout is considered “a premier course due to the trees we’ve left.”
