Austell approves $117K sidewalk project
The Austell City Council agreed 6-0 Monday to install sidewalks in Cheyenne Estates subdivision.
The Corbett Group will be paid $116,916 to construct the four-foot, handicap-accessible sidewalks on Cochise Circle, Hiawatha Lane and Pontiac Circle.
Councilwoman Kirsten Anderson, chairwoman of the Public Works Committee, said Corbett was not the lowest bidder but has completed other “great projects” for the city.
Funding will come from the special purpose local option sales tax.
