Did you enjoy Tuesday's balmy temperatures in the mid-80s? That's history. A cold front is headed this way.
Atlanta recorded .37 inches of rain Tuesday and could see an additional .25 inches through early Wednesday, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist David Chandley said. Rain and a few thunderstorms are out ahead of cold front moving this way from Alabama, he said.
Temperatures will be in the 60s after midnight, then fall most of the day Wednesday, dipping into the 50s and some 40s after the front moves through, Chandley said. Wednesday night and Thursday morning will be in the low 40s.
Sunny and dry weather is expected Thursday through Sunday, he said.
“Thursday morning should be clear and cold with some 30s in north Georgia and temperatures in the 40s closer to Atlanta,” Chandley said.
Frost is possible Thursday and Friday morning outside of the city, especially in North Georgia.
