Metro Atlantans will continue to soak in plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures on Monday, although an isolated shower or storm is possible.
The weather is a repeat of Saturday and Sunday, which saw pleasant sunshine and warm temps.
Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz has been keeping an eye on tropical storm Alberto, which has been tracking near the South Carolina and North Carolina coast and has no impact on metro Atlanta.
Nitz said to expect a few isolated showers and storms mainly north of Atlanta on Monday. "Those will come to an end as tropical storm Alberto starts to pull away," he said. "The forecast is for it to turn toward the northeast tonight and into Monday." The hurricane season begins June 1.
The high temperatures Monday through Thursday are expected to be in the mid 80s under partly cloudy skies. The chance of rain will seesaw between 20 and 30 percent Monday through Thursday. The nighttime lows are expected to be in the low to mid 60s.
