The Atlanta Mission recently launched “Building Hope and a Future Dream Home Sweepstakes” as a fundraiser to pay for for a new shelter to house homeless women and children, according to a press release.

Through Jan. 3, donations toward the venture will be entered for a chance to win a house by Brock Built Homes in the West Highlands community valued at $400,000. Those who opt not to take the house can choose $200,000 in cash.

In addition, Underpriced Furniture has thrown in $6,000 worth of furniture regardless of which option is picked.

To donate online, go to atlantamission.org/sweepstakes and follow the links and instructions to complete and

submit the registration form, including providing a valid name and email address, and optionally

a phone number at which you can be reached if you are selected as a potential winner.

Then, applicants are instructed to follow the links and instructions to make a donation to help support Atlanta Mission and the construction of the new shelter. There is no minimum donation amount. Once the registration and donation are completed donors will automatically will receive an entry or entries into the sweepstakes.

A donation of less than $25 garners one entry; $25 - two entries; $50 - five entries; $75 - seven entries; $100 - 10 entries. Any donation $100 or more is calculated based on tiers above up to a maximum of 50 entries per person. Hoever, there is no maximum donation amount.

To enter the Sweepstakes without making a donation, hand print your full name, street address, (no P.O. Boxes), day/evening/cellular phone number (if any), email address, and date of birth on a 3-inch-by-5-inch piece of paper and mail it in an envelope with proper postage to “Atlanta Mission ‘Building Hope and a Future Dream Home Sweepstakes’ – Sweeps Entry,” P.O. Box 5025, Department 842104, Kalamazoo, MI 49003-5025. Mailed-in entries must be postmarked by Jan. 4 and received by Jan. 11.
