A 21-year-old Atlanta native was one of two people shot to death over the weekend near the college they attended, California police said Monday.
Eric Kenzo Otokawa and his girlfriend, Kristina Lynn Pandula, were found shot at 11 a.m. Saturday at his home in the 800 block of South Third Street in San Jose, according to Sgt. Jason Dwyer with the San Jose Police Department.
Otokawa died at the scene and Pandula, 20, of Sunnyvale, Calif., died Sunday after being transported to an area hospital, police said.
Police have not released a motive or the name of any possible suspects, Dwyer said in a media release Monday.
Otokawa and Pandula previously attended San Jose State University, but neither was currently enrolled, the San Jose Mercury News reported. Otokawa was last enrolled in the spring and Pandula took classes over the summer, the newspaper reported.
Otokawa attended Camden Military Academy in South Carolina, according to his Facebook profile.
