A committee of Atlanta's City Council voted Tuesday to approve more than $99,000 in claims against the city for property damages and bodily injuries from automobile accidents and other mishaps. The 20 claims approved by the Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee ranged from $731 for property damage alleged to have been caused by a storm grate last October in west Atlanta to $20,000 in damage from a falling tree last August near Bobby Jones Golf Course. The city's attorneys recommended that the city not pay for alleged damages related to 15 other claims.
