Atlanta's City Council voted Monday to approve a $480,000 payment to settle all claims in two putative class action lawsuits in which plaintiffs said they were wrongly billed for water and sewer usage. Atlanta's attorneys determined that the city's potential legal exposure was "far in excess" of the settlement amount, prompting the settlement.
