Atlanta church offering COVID-19 testing, free food next month

Elizabeth Baptist Church is offering free COVID-19 testing at its Atlanta campus next month, the church announced on its Facebook page.

Testing will be held at 4245 Cascade Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6. The event is in partnership with Willie Watkins Funeral Home and the Family Health Centers of Georgia, which has been providing ongoing COVID-19 testing at various sites in Atlanta.

Appointments are not required but are strongly encouraged. Residents can make an appointment for the event by calling 1-800-935-6721. Walk-up testing is also available. Photo ID is required.

Everyone who is tested will be given a free surgical mask.

Free food will also be provided by Jimmy Johns.
