Atlanta braces for weekend traffic
In anticipation of a huge weekend of festivals and crowds, Atlanta will implement a special traffic and safety plan that will be in place until Sunday.
This weekend, Atlanta will host the 75th Annual Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park, the Sweetwater 420 Fest in Candler Park. The Braves are also playing the Mets.
Atlanta police officers will be in place at all major venues throughout the city to ensure smooth traffic flow and crowd safety. The APD will also set up three mobile command posts. The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department's Special Events EMS Bike Teams, will also be at various venues.
