Asphalt repair will slow traffic through Suwanee

The Georgia Department of Transportation will close two outside lanes of Interstate 85 northbound from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday for asphalt repairs at Exit 109 north of Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee.

A large pothole developed and the temporary patch is in place now. Crews will remove the damaged asphalt and replace it with new asphalt Tuesday. Delays are expected in the area as work occurs. Crews will complete the repairs as quickly as possible, but motorists are asked to use caution through the area.
