An Ohio man arrested in Tennessee last week has been charged with killing a man two years ago in Cobb County.

Cobb police have charged Eddie Matthew Amos with felony murder and aggravated assault in the August 7, 2007, shooting death of Robin Crankshaw, Sgt. Dana Pierce said.

Crankshaw, 47, was found dead in the parking lot of Jackson Auto Center on Fontaine Road in Mableton, where he was employed.

During the investigation, detectives identified Amos, 41, of Wooster, Ohio, as the suspect, but couldn’t locate him, Pierce said.

On August 12, Amos was arrested in Chattanooga on unrelated charges. Cobb detectives interviewed Amos on Thursday and charged him with the murder of Crankshaw.

Amos is being held in the Hamilton County Jail in Chattanooga.
