Arrest made in Atlanta cold case

Authorities believe they have solved a five-year-old murder case with an arrest Monday.

Atlanta police and investigators with the Fulton County Cold Case Squad arrested 36-year-old Andre Loyal and charged him with murder in the October 2005 death of Addonis Cunningham.

Cunningham, 15, was shot while walking toward a convenience market on Jonesboro Road. He attended South Atlanta High School, but his mother withdrew him from the school four days after a fight with some other teenagers, a school system spokesman said at the time.
