Police are looking for a man that robbed a Powder Springs business, struck two people in the back of the head, then fired a gunshot as he fled the scene.

The man entered Top Cleaners on Brownsville Road with a gun Monday afternoon and demanded two employees lie on the floor, according to Lt. Matt Boyd with Powder Springs police. After hitting both employees in the back of the head, the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

One of the employees followed the suspect out of the business, Boyd said. The suspect then told the employee to go back inside and fired one gunshot. No one was struck.

The man then fled in a mid-sized, dark green pick-up truck, heading north on Hiram-Lithia Springs Road, Boyd said.

The suspect is described as a bald, light-skinned black male standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, police said. He is believed to be between the ages of 20 and 25.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Powder Springs police at 770-943-1616 or give an anonymous tip by calling 404-577-8477.
