Gwinnett police have arrested yet another person for soliciting sex at a Buford Kmart.
Michael Gordy, 32, of Braselton, was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly propositioned a store employee in the men’s room, police told WSB Radio.
His arrest last week makes the sixth incident since March in which people have been charged in connection with soliciting sex in the men’s room of the retailer, located in the 1600 block of Buford Highway.
It’s not immediately clear why people have been choosing this location.
“It’s not too private, and furthermore, it’s not too clean,” Cpl. Edwin Ritter told WSB Radio.
In April, two men were arrested in the same men’s room after they were caught engaging in a sexual act in the stall, according to a police report. The incident follows one in March in which three men were arrested after an undercover officer arranged to meet one of them in the store’s restroom.
“There may be some type of advertisements … but it almost sounds like word of mouth, where they hear it’s happening, and that’s where they end up going for a little while, and then it stops, and they find another place to do these things,” Ritter told WSB Radio.
Ritter said that police are monitoring the area but gave few details.
