The annual Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome takes place Sunday, Oct. 17 in Marietta Square.

The one-third mile fundraiser walk through downtown Marietta culminates with live music, food and children’s activities on the Square.

This year, the Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders and the Marietta High School Blue Devils Marching Band will lead the estimated 3,000 walkers.

The Buddy Walk event will begin at 1 p.m. Due to the air show at Dobbins ARB, event organizers are asking Buddy Walk participants to avoid Cobb Parkway SE if possible.
