American Cancer Society to open new wing at Hope Lodge

Aug 11, 2012The American Cancer Society will open a new 18-suite wing at the Hope Lodge on the Emory University campus on Thursday.
The suites provide free lodging for cancer patients who come to the area for treatment.
The lodge currently has 34 suites for patients and their caregivers. Atlanta Hope Lodge is one of four in the South Atlantic Division and last year served 775 patients and 750 caregivers for a total of 22,918 lodging nights.
