Alpharetta residents are invited to weigh in on the future of recreation and parks in the city at a community workshop later this month.

The Recreation and Parks Department has scheduled the meeting for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Alpharetta City Hall, 2 Park Plaza. The purpose is to update the Recreation and Parks Master Plan 2025, “to encompass changes that have occurred and to create a road map for the next five to eight years,” according a parks announcement.

New parkland acquisitions and bond projects have greatly expanded the parks landscape since the master plan was developed in 2014, officials said. Department staff and their consultants will be on hand to speak with residents. Information: http://bit.ly/2zxc2I1
