Alpharetta sets Friday ‘Finale’ for Holiday Food Drive

Organizers of the Alpharetta Holiday Food Drive to benefit North Fulton Community Charities announced a “Finale” event for Friday afternoon, Dec. 21.

The food drive closer is scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m. on the Village Green in downtown Alpharetta. Fire pits, marshmallow roasting, hot chocolate, snow and one more chance to visit with Santa are planned.

NFCC representatives will be on hand to collect curbside donations so residents can drop off items before parking, officials said. Those giving a bag of non-perishables will receive a booklet of seasonal savings at more than 50 Alpharetta restaurants and businesses.

Drop-offs also will continue through Friday at the Alpharetta Adult Activity Center at North Park, 13450 Cogburn Road; Alpharetta Arts Center, 238 Canton St.; Alpharetta City Hall, 2 Park Plaza; Avalon Concierge/Valet Parking, 400 Avalon Boulevard; Alpharetta First Baptist Church, 44 Academy St.; Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, 180 Academy St.; and Wills Park Recreation Center, 11925 Wills Road.
