Alpharetta's City Council gave a resounding thumbs-down to an economic development report Tuesday that it characterized as incomplete.
The plan, prepared by Atlanta consultant Market Street Services, was to provide the city a blueprint for future economic growth. The $100,000 cost for the study, was split between the city and its Development Authority.
Council members D.C. Aiken and Chris Owens said the report lacked specificity and did not include comparative data with other cities of similar size.
Market Street CEO Mack Holladay said Wednesday the company had received positive feedback at earlier work sessions with the city. He said the company is working on the changes now and feels confident the revisions will meet with Council approval.
