Georgia’s first forum dedicated to the technology, investment and innovation shaping the future of agriculture has been announced by Tech Alpharetta and the city of Alpharetta.

The AgTech Conference of the South is scheduled for July 23-25 at the Alpharetta Conference Center, 2200 Avalon Blvd. Organizers promise "key thought leaders and investors, as well as current and emerging agtech business leaders who are creating more value, variety and predictability in the world's food and fiber supply."

Panel discussions and break-out sessions will cover such topics as supply chains, big data, biotechnology, innovation and plant genetics. Also, at an AgTech Startup Pitch-off, entrepreneurs will present to industry representatives seeking potential partnerships with outside innovators.

“The AgTech Conference of the South will address the explosive growth in agtech that has resulted from the intersection of agriculture and technology,” said Karen Cashion, CEO of Tech Alpharetta.

Individual registration is $495. Information: www.agtechsouth.com.
