Alpharetta commission to hear tree-planting update

The Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission will hear an update Tuesday on the city's efforts to maintain and increase its greenery.

The City Council last month approved $33,648 for the planting of 94 trees and 273 shrubs throughout the city on city-owned property and within the right-of-way of city streets. Plantings are to occur in the Westside Parkway median south of Cumming Street, Canton Street between Church and Trailer streets, Mid-Broadwell Road at Broadwell Oaks Drive and at North Park.
