The 25-year-old Cobb County man accused of raping women he met through the website Craigslist has an extensive criminal history.

Darrell Delane Cash is accused of at least three robberies and assaults on women he contacted online, and there may be more victims, Sgt. Dana Pierce with Cobb County police told the AJC.

Cash is accused of committing the crimes at Caswyck Trail Apartment complex, located on Favor Road in unincorporated Marietta, beginning in November, Pierce said. The female victims were apparently advertising on the Craigslist site and a similar classifieds site, backpage.com.

After contacting the women, Cash would then meet the victim at an unoccupied house or apartment, rob and sexually assault them at gunpoint, Pierce said. One woman told police she was forced to give the suspect hundreds of dollars, according to arrest warrants.

Cash has been charged with two counts of rape, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of burglary and one count of kidnapping, Pierce said. He was arrested last week and booked into the Cobb County jail, where he remained Tuesday night without bond.

Additionally, officers found nine grams of marijuana, in nine plastic bags, in Cash's bedroom, an arrest warrant states. Cash faces a felony drug charge.

A Chicago native, Cash has had numerous arrests in his home state, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Anyone with information about Cash is asked to contact Cobb police at 770-499-3945.
