Organizers of the Alive in Roswell street festival have donated $10,000 to the Historic Roswell Business Association to invest in the city’s downtown district, city officials announced.

Atlanta Plays It Forward, which organizes the event in partnership with the city, presented a $10,000 check to the business association at the Jan. 22 City Council meeting. The funds represent remaining proceeds from vendor and sponsorship dollars after costs of the 2017 edition of Alive in Roswell were calculated.

This year’s Alive in Roswell begins April 19 and will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. the third Thursday of the month through October. The festival will offer live bands, interactive vendors and children’s games and entertainment. Presenting sponsors are Gate City Brewing Co. and Carl Black Buick-GMC Roswell.
