UPDATE: On its follow-up inspection on May 11, the Zoes Kitchen location at 5150 Peachtree Parkway in Peactree Corners received a 99/A.

Its sole violation, the inspection report said, was having the score from a previous inspection (in which it received a 91/A) posted in the restaurant -- and not the more recent 67/U.

ORIGINAL STORY: A Gwinnett location of Zoes Kitchen, the fast casual chain known for its sandwiches and soups, failed its recent health inspection.

The restaurant -- located at 5150 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners, across the street from The Forum shopping center -- scored a 67/U on its May 5 inspection. According to the report, officials noted that plates, food storage containers and several other items were "stored as clean [but] still had food debris present." Single-use forks, knives and cups were stored on the floor.

In addition, raw chicken was not cooked to the proper temperature before being placed in the "hot holding" area, inspectors said. The report said the restaurant also had no "body fluid clean up kit" on hand.

A follow-up inspection will be completed within 10 days of the original evaluation.
