The motorist who died in a Paulding County rush-hour crash Wednesday has been identified as Andrew B. Litt.

Litt, 51, of Acworth, was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry east on Cedarcrest Road about 5:30 p.m., the Georgia State Patrol reported. Troopers said he took a curve too fast. His car careened into the path of a westbound 2002 Jeep Liberty.

Litt was not wearing a seatbelt. He died on the scene.

The Jeep’s driver, Barbara Strawn, 59, of Kennesaw, suffered serious injuries and was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

The crash, near the Seven Hills/Bentwater communities, created such a traffic backup that Paulding County’s emergency operations center broadcast an advisory asking motorists to avoid the area.

The investigation is closed, the patrol said.
