Beginning after 9 p.m. on Sunday, crews will start working around the clock — for about six months — to make improvements to a Roswell ramp.

The Georgia Department of Transportation will begin roadwork at Ga. 400 and Holcomb Bridge Road to address the exit ramp from southbound Ga. 400 onto Holcomb Bridge Road, and the entrance ramp from eastbound Holcomb Bridge Road onto Ga. 400 south, the city said.

The expected completion date, weather permitting, is April 2017.

From the news release:

Crews will be working 24/7, but lane closures will only occur between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and will be limited during the day on Saturdays and Sundays.

This Georgia DOT–funded operational improvement will add a second right-turn lane from the southbound Ga. 400 exit ramp onto westbound Holcomb Bridge Road. The southbound on-ramp shoulder will be improved, and the existing median will be extended by approximately 150 feet.

The project will also modify the small concrete island at westbound Holcomb Bridge Road and Old Dogwood Road (entrance to Waffle House) to convert the rightmost lane from a right turn only lane into a shared through/right-turn lane.
