Construction partners of the Georgia Department of Transportation on Friday were to complete the move of traffic to a new bridge carrying Browns Bridge Road (Ga. 369) over Two Mile Creek, a tributary of Lake Lanier in eastern Forsyth County.

Crews were to complete the final striping and remove construction barrels, GDOT said. The old bridge is to be removed in the coming weeks.

Contractor E.R. Snell was charged with building a new, two-lane span with 12-foot lane and 8-foot shoulders. The roadway approaching the bridge was to be reconstructed with two 12-foot lanes and 10-foot shoulders.
