Everything old is new again in Snellville.

Take the city attorney, for example. When new mayor Tom Witts was sworn in Monday, one of his first acts was to bring back the old city attorney — the one whose firing by the old mayor pitted mayor and council in a fight that went all the way to the state supreme court.

Witts also took the opportunity Monday to dismiss the city clerk, who last month filed a federal lawsuit against the county for blocking her from doing her job.
