Gwinnett making fertilizer from wastewater

Since this summer, Gwinnett County has been extracting phosphorus from its wastewater to create a fertilizer.

The $15.2 million project is expected to be repaid in 10 to 15 years through the sale of fertilizer and savings from the new way the phosphorus is disposed of.
