Gwinnett County residents get a new park Tuesday

Sept 1, 2016

Gwinnett County will open a new 25-acre park on Five Forks Trickum Road near Lilburn next week.

The county will dedicate J.B. Williams Park at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at 4935 Five Forks Trickum Road SW. It’s just down the street from the county’s existing Mountain Park Park.

The new park features a lighted baseball/softball field, a .75-mile paved trail, a playground, skate complex, dog park, pavilion and meadow.

Gwinnett bought the property in 2008 from the J.B. Williams family. The county used money from a voter-approved special sales tax to pay for the $5.2 million construction cost.
