Fulton donates Alpharetta Library building

Sept 3, 2015

Fulton County will donate its old Alpharetta Library to the city.

The Fulton Board of Commissioners voted Wednesday to turn over the old Canton Street library to Alpharetta by Oct. 1. In July the county opened a new Alpharetta Library on land donated by the city.

The city has not decided how it will use the building. It has scheduled a meeting to begin a public conversation about the building’s future at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at Alpharetta City Hall. Residents will have an opportunity to share their views.
