Fulton County to open warming station Monday

Georgia Department of Transportation electronic interstate signs like the one on northbound I-85 near Sylvan Road in Fulton County warned motorists to be on the lookout for black ice. Temperatures are slowly increasing, but it didn’t feel like it Monday. Temperatures were 30 degrees in Atlanta, 19 in Blairsville and 26 in Griffin at 11:30 a.m., according to Channel 2 Action News. Fulton County will open a warming station Monday. It will stay open until low temperature predictions are above 40 degrees.
The Jefferson Place warming facility is at 1135 Jefferson Street NW in Atlanta.
