Gov. Nathan Deal has ordered that all U.S. and Georgia flags on state buildings fly at half-staff Friday morning through sunset on Sunday in remembrance of the victims of 9/11.
Deal is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday to give remarks and hold a moment of silence at the Capitol to mark the 10th anniversary of the attacks.
The ceremony will be streamed live to classrooms statewide by Georgia Public Broadcasting. It can also be viewed by the public at http://www.gpb.org/education/september-11-theme-page.
