Costly water bills frustrate DeKalb residents

Sept 2, 2016When DeKalb County residents open their water bills, sometimes they're in for a surprise.
Homeowners continue to complain when they receive bills that seem far too high — more than $1,000 in some cases.
DeKalb officials say increased water consumption is the most frequent reason that bills go up, but faulty water meters or computer errors also lead to increases.
