Cobb flooding hits Paper Mill Road

Jan 3, 2020UPDATE: Blocked drainage on Paper Mill Road has been cleared and the road is reopened.
ORIGINAL: Heavy rains Friday morning have exacerbated flooding on Paper Mill Road in East Cobb.
Access out of some local neighborhoods has been blocked but county officials announced an alternative route:
- Take Old Paper Mill to Powers Ford
- Turn left onto Terrell Crossing
- Take an immediate right onto Buck Hill
- Take a left onto Birds Mill
- At the intersection turn right onto Denards Mill and then a right onto Sibley Forest.
The county’s transportation department had a crew on the scene working to clear debris from the drainage system at of 9:45 a.m.
