760 homes planned near Grayson High School

April 25, 2016

An Atlanta developer is breaking ground on a 430-acre residential and commercial development next to Grayson High School.

The Independence development will feature about 760 single-family and town homes at the intersection of Ozora Road and Ga. 20, adjacent to the high school and Bay Creek Park. The project also will feature more than 90 acres of commercial development, as well as pocket parks and more than two miles of walking trails that connect to the park, according to developer Stolz Partners.

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners approved the project last May. The company said sales for the homes are expected to begin in mid-2017.
