With snow accumulation of at least one inch in metro Atlanta, schools cancelled classes late Tuesday night.
It’s the third time in just more than a month that metro Atlanta schools have closed due to weather.
DeKalb and Fulton County Schools said in emails that students and staff should stay home ahead of forecasts for frigid temperatures and icy road conditions.
Gwinnett County Schools said Wednesday should be considered a digital learning day, giving a link to log in for lessons.
Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen took to Twitter to vent her frustration about another day out of classes for her students.
Clayton County Schools said its classes and activities were cancelled “until further notice.”
Paulding County Schools also announced classes would be cancelled for Wednesday.
Cherokee and Forsyth announced late Wednesday it had canceled class due to weather, along with Clayton County. Marietta and Decatur City Schools closed Wednesday as well.
