5:02 p.m.: According to several reports, more coronavirus deaths and cases have been reported in Washington's King County, which has been hit hardest by COVID-19. Washington state officials reported two new deaths, bringing the total deaths in the state to "at least 24," according to the Associated Press' Lisa Baumann. There were also 74 new cases confirmed Tuesday.

4:59 p.m. Massachusetts Democratic Party temporarily suspends caucuses.

4:55:Jamaica has confirmed its first case of coronavirus, which is reportedly an imported case. Dr. Christopher Tufton, Jamaica's Minister of Health, confirmed the presumptive case to be found in a female patient, who had travel from the United Kingdom.

4:28 p.m. Delta suspends all flights to Italy. Flights are cancelled from March 11 to April 30.

10:55 a.m. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce has postponed two of its upcoming conferences in Dunwoody and Statesboro amid concerns about the coronavirus outbreak.

10:11 a.m. Seven cases of coronavirus reported in South Carolina. Four of the five cases appear to be related to a woman in her 80s who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Friday.

10:00 a.m. Stocks surge on Wall Street following worst day since 2008. U.S. stocks, oil and other financial markets around the world clawed back some of their historic plunge from a day before on hopes that the U.S. and other governments around the world will pump in more aid for the virus-weakened global economy.

8:30 a.m.: AJC airport blogger Kelly Yamanouchi reports Delta Air Lines is cutting flying by 15%.

8:05 a.m. Delta CEO says the Atlanta-based airline has seen a 25 to 30% decline in bookings due to the coronavirus, and he expects it to get worse.
