Kennesaw man gets 22 years in prison for producing child porn
A Kennesaw man has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for producing child pornography.
Shawnston Beaudoin, 31, was convicted on March 4 and will face a lifetime of supervised release following his sentence.
“Beaudoin preyed on the vulnerable and innocent of our society for his own personal pleasure,” acting U.S. Attorney John Horn said Monday in a news release.
Horn said that in February 2014, the FBI, which investigated the case, received information that Beaudoin was collecting and distributing child pornography. On March 5, 2014, FBI agents executed federal search warrants at Beaudoin’s apartment and at a business he managed in Kennesaw, authorities said.
Beaudoin initially admitted to having child pornography but denied having any inappropriate contact with a child, authorities said, and he agreed to take a polygraph test.
Beaudoin’s answers to key questions on the test indicated that he was being deceptive, authorities said. He admitted to FBI agents that they would find homemade pornographic images of young girls on his computers, and forensics analysis of his computers revealed that he had personally produced pornographic images of three children between 2005 and 2013, authorities said.
